Planning Portal

The NSW Planning Portal is an initiative of the NSW Government, designed and delivered by the ePlanning Program.

It’s a digital portal where community, industry, local and State Government can work together to better facilitate planning in NSW. It provides a range of online planning services and information to help everyone involved in a proposed development meet their obligations under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

Type in the property address to the address finder

Choose your address and select Principle Layers. Turn on the Heritage Layers. This will give you coloured layering of your property and the neighbouring properties.

Red lines indicate a conservation area. Yellow overlay indicates a Heritage Item. Blue lines indicate a State Heritage Item.

Click on the search results tab to the right of the page.

Click on Heritage. This will show the Conservation Area for the property, and if the property is of Heritage Significance, it will provide further information to the properties classification and name.

To alter the map view use the Basemap tab. This can make it easier to view the area and where your property sits within the conservation area.
